Ink and watercolor manuscript, possibly a mock up for publication, consisting of eight leaves with an illustration at the top of each page with a verse below. "Mary's little lamb" is drawn as a billygoat dressed with a blue shirt and red checked pants, red striped collar, who wears glasses when he attends school, where the chalkboard features the word "goat." The last image ("'Why, Mary Loves the Lamb, you know,' The Teacher did reply") depicts Mary carrying the billygoat past a building with a "S.P.C.A." sign on it and a flyer for "Fair. S.P.C.A." on a wall. Attributed to McLoughlin Bros. artist William Bruton, who was active between 1875 and 1885.
